- Thanks, Alex! And yes, there is more 'in the pipeline', but needs its time....rgds, Daniel TamOR
- Breathtaking :-) superb video I really think this is one of the nicest sand rover and holiday buggy vids. I have seen sofar. Thanks for sharing and please make some more :-) :-) :-) Cheers,Alex Fernado Alonso
- Hi Erich, thanks for your great comment! Yes, the underlying Music is 'The lonely shepherd' by Gheorghe Zamfir / James Last. Quite a classic, re-used/honored later then by Tarantinos Kill Bill movie. And yes, to get appetite is always good...;-) best regards TamOR
- BRILLIANT! See what you do, now I'm lusting after a Sand Rover, haha. BTW, would you mind telling me what music is the one that starts after a minute or so? THANKS for sharing this excellent video! mongoose1983
- Thanks to all of you! And yes (neobrunox), it's a bit 'at the edge' to use them...but actually, on sand the risk of damage is quite low....best regards TamOR
- Great vid, love the slow mo! mr.retreader

@Crash Cramer: You have to see that ''cheap'' is not necessarily a synonym of ''bad'' or ''poorly finished''... ;)
I'm very excited on this one, I remember it from the cover of RCCA back in the 90's, and LOVED IT. I want to make it look as good as possible. And by the way, THANK YOU for helping me, Chris. mongoose1983 - EB, that is great work, a long while ago I had to decide against buying an alu grille for the Wrangler, seems someone in France had it??? I don't remember, but don't see many out there. You truly are going for actual realism on this one. Crash Cramer

@RACECRAFTERS: I hope to lay my hands on another Sand Scorcher bodyshell someday. Re: the fog lamp supports. Good question. You have to use a disc cutter on the dremel and with much care cut out the protruding mounts off. You have to try to get near the level of the grill itself. Then, with the same dremel you use a drill tip to go down making holes on the material that need to be taken off of between the grill's pillars. And then, you'll have to use a sharp hobby knife to make the cuts precise so you keep down the lines of the grill and take the extra material off to make it all clean. Now after all that, a small piece of fine sandpaper will reproduce the curvy edges of the stock pillars on the ones you just ''cleaned'' from the fog lamps supports. It can get messy at moments, but if you keep your concentration you'll sure be able to take it off completely and make the Jeep's grill look as if it never had any fog lamp supports there, haha.
Thanks for your positive comment. And BTW, check my TC showroom and have a look at my four how-to's on the Sand Scorcher bodyshell. ;) mongoose1983 - Nice editorial mongoose1983! You should do one for the Sand Scorcher too because even some of the 'top' builders here on TC are blind to them. Excellent work Mate - can't wait to see the finished product! ;) BTW, how did you go about elliminating the fog lamps support. RACECRAFTERS
- lol somebody else pointed them out to me, but really this body is worth all the little detail work before painting, I know with mine I spend longer getting the body ready to paint on a Wrangler shell than I do building the truck ;) Nice tutorial for those just getting one of these great shells Wyoming
- Have to thank Wyoming for pointing out the signals problem to me a while ago. Thank you Seth! mongoose1983
- I sent some pics of the upgraded gears in mine. I have some spare gears too with a partial ball diff. If you need them let me know. Road Burner
- Too shiny? The southern California sunshine tends to do that. ;) Lunch Special
- Nice!! Fantastic job! koenc
- Wow Dan very nice one ,still have to build mine. Bodyset is laying around for four years now :-) Cheers,Alex Fernado Alonso
- Thx guys, comments much apprciated!!! @Kev, seems you do not have the proper window for me? ;-( @Dave, the shock conversion was indeed the trigger to get this one, although I didn't know the manufacturer was CRP @Crash, thx Chris, do you still need the MSC rod? @Erich, muchas gracias par explicar! I didn't know the differences because I hadnt made time to study 'm. The body is definately vintage. Can be seen from the hole and it should also have the date with logo printed inside? I will definately leave the larger motor in because of the 3700 NiMh's I have. Guaranteed to bring long driving! Tjaard
- Thanks mongoose1983, the tire logos actually came from a F1 tire sticker set i bought from Japan years ago. Each letterings had to be cut out to fit on the bigger diameter jeep tires. Regards. dr.roberts
- Looks neat, can't wait to see it finished! Steffen
- Cheers matey, I think it will be a fun basher! the diff is locked, will stick a warm motor in it and esc then see how it goes. LylesTV
- That is awesome, makes it all worth while. Plopes
