I started way back in 1983 while at school, A few friends set up a club there and we used to meet up one night a week after school. Then joined stafford car club raced there for approx 4 years. Then started building real VW beetles and the model cars I sold off (man I wish I had kept them now) to finance the real ones. Then went into hotrods. A few years ago my brother in law brought a Tamiya Mad fighter and that got me back into them. Went out and Brought a HPI Savage SS. Have brought a few old Tamiya cars since but I tend to sell them after I've fixed them up know. I prefer the nitro models now as I can tune them ok and know what i'm doing with them, where as when I was fiftteen I had a mardave Maurader and that put me off i.c cars for a long time.
