I've been into Tamiya radio controlled cars since back at Secondary school when a couple of my mates owned, and raced them. I Never actually got to own one back then, despite asking for one for a number of Chrismases and birthdays! Allthough I did eventually get a toy grade Porsche that I enjoyed running aroun the living room for the 10 minuts of its battery life! A lfew years later I bought a Nitro 1:10th 4wd off road monster truck for bashing around the garden and the road, with the amount of times i crashed that thing it cost me an absolute fortune in parts to repair it! I Really enjoyed that as a goodfriend of mine had one too, But alas, it was still not the Tamiya i'd wanted for so long! I currently own a Nitro Carson 1:8th Merceds Lorrycab, which i also bought a Porsche GT3 shell for road use. Very hard thing to use as all the power goes through the back two wheels, at 1/4 throttle from a stand still the thing just donuts on the spot! AND a couple of years ago i finally got around to owning a Tamiya when i bought a NIB Tamiya Castrol Toyota Celica GT4! I decided this would be the first Tamiya i'd buy as i also own a real UK Toyota Celica GT4 ST-205 WRC in Storm Blue! Since then the collection has grown to about 20 cars :)
