As a child I had 4 radio controlled cars, starting with a Marui Hunter in 1984 for my 8th birthday, then a Marui Big Bear, although I can't remember if that was a birthday or Christmas present.

More notably, my Christmas present as a 9 year old in 1985 was a Tamiya Hotshot kit, complete with ESC and hopped up motor - I can't remember if it was a Technigold/Technipower etc.

Christmas present for 1986 was a Tamiya Porsche 959 which really suffered badly at my hands - perhaps my dad should have persuaded me to just appreciate it in kit form in the box and leave it at that!

I am starting to build a collection of NIB re-release kits. As it stands (Jan 2015) I have a Mountain Rider, Bruiser, Super Hotshot, three Hotshots (one is a metallic), three Egress 2013 kits, three Avante 2011 kits and one Avante Black Special.
