I started with RC cars in 1980. Seeing a friend's Ford Ranger turned me on to Tamiya cars but they were always out of my price range.
In 1984 I got hold of a secondhand Mardave Apache that I raced competitively for several years until 1987 when my looming GCSE's occupied all my time.
I lost touch with RC cars for many years after that due to work and a move into modle boats. I bought a secondhand Associated RC10 in the late 90's but never got round to running it.
Now, I've firmly got back into the hobby again and have set about gathering together the cars that I lusted after in my youth but could never afford.
I currently have the following Tamiya cars in varying levels of restoration: Thundershot, Fox, Supershot, Grasshopper, and Grasshopper 2. I also have a PB Mustang Xi2.
