Basically when I was a kid (about 10 yrs old) there was a huge radio controlled car craze at school...I had to be part of it, and luckily I found a Hornet at the village jumble sale for 50p. It had been built quite shabbily, and had no radio gear or anything, so I took it to the model shop (Apex Models, Crowthorne) and they sorted it for me for Ģ50. I had so much fun with it, but unfortunately a lot of crashes once I installed my Technigold motor. I lost the rear wing, broke (!) the bumper and scratched it so much I had to repaint it 8 times.
Anyway, I was out in the park the other day and saw a thirty year old guy with a monster beetle just tanking it up and down a path - omg! I have to get my old hornet out! Well, I can't find the damn thing. Really. I'm very upset. I'm buying a Hornet off ebay to console myself, but I really want a Lunch Box and a Clod Buster. In fact when I first got my hornet I was small enough to ride around in the back of a clod buster, I kid you not!
