I live near Hamburg in Germany. My 'main-hobby' are aircooled VW. (Beetle, Bus, Ghia, etc.). A few years ago i stumbled across a picture of an Sand-Scorcher that was shown in a VW-forum. From that moment on i was hooked. My first contact with RC-cars was in the early/mid-80th. A friend of mine had a electric powered Graupner Datsun Fairlady. They were very expensive at that time. So i never get one. In the late 90th came Tamiya with the 1967 Beetle out. I bought it, built it and then lost interest. But 3 or 4 years ago, i saw the Sand Scorcher the first time. I bought one for maybe to much money at Ebay-Germany. As I was very busy at this time, the Scorcher had to wait on the shelf for a restoration. Currently I found more time and now i am working on the Scorcher, an Kyosho Scorpion and a Graupner that should get a Kamtec-Splitt-Window-Beetle-body.
