I used to race cars in the 80s and have got back into the hobby after seeing the re-releases from Tamiya. My first Tamiya was a Grasshopper, which was tuned and raced. That was followed by a Hornet. Before those I was racing Mardaves (Mini-Stock and Apache), and I also have some of those in my collection.
The Holiday Buggy 2010 is what got me started second time around.
I like to have at least two bodies for my cars, or to have one runner and one display model for each kit. I enjoy running the cars, but also appreciate nice looking cars on show.
The Grasshopper has to be my favourite Tamiya kit. It's simple, strong, goes well and great fun to drive. Above all, the looks are spot on!
