Born in 1970, my first rc-car was in 1982 a Kyosho Scorpion. This car was fast, but not very solid and reliable. I sold the Scorpion and bought a Ford Ranger XLT. Later I got also a Rough Rider with a Super Champ rear suspension. These cars were heavy and strong, not really fast, but true to scale and the greatest rc-cars I’ve ever seen. I sold them all in 1986 in order to get money for a motorbike. In 2000 I got a TA02 Ford F-150 as a present for christmas, and the whole thing started again. I managed to buy my old SRBs back from the guy to which I sold them almost 20 years ago. A friend of mine sold me his Sand Scorcher and a Super Champ. They could be watched in my showroom still as projects. Until now I didn’t found the time to restore them. Now, especially the TA01 / 02 touring- and rally cars, the FWD (FF01) and the TA03 TRF racing chassis are my favourite models. I also like the re-released hard plastic-body models as the 6-wheeler Tyrell and the Lancia Rally. I hope Tamiya will release more models of this kind.
