Here's a little movie of the Hotshot attempting to climb 'The Mound' nearby at the local park. It took a few attempts but it finally made it over. Notice the wing missing, during the filming of this....well - there was a small mishap before this and sad to say the wing got a little banged-up. I usually remove it for terrain like this, but it was such a nice day that I just forgot to. Oh - well, this car will most likely be retired once the Hotshot re-release comes out and at that point I'll fix it up again. Till then...it's drive time!

Update - 4/6/08 - The low-res file does not work, but the Hi-Res link does work. Not sure how to remove the low-res link. Enjoy! ~Cheers
Sorry, this is a Flash movie. - You don't have flash installed.

Nice vid - including the closeups. Haven't seen a HS run since 1986! What motor did it have? Stock 540? Cheers, Mike

Thank you all very much for the nice comments!!! I thought the soundtrack was fitting for this particular vid and it just started to fit together as I was editing it. Couldn't have done it without the wife's effort of filming it, as she gave up drive time of her Hotshot to film this.

Tamiya_addict, I'm running a 540 Sport Tuned Mabuchi motor, with a 15tooth pinion and the gearboxes are ballraced. I've also pulled out the MSC and replaced it with a Tamiya ESC...this car really moves! Thankyou for the kind words!

S B JAY, just like you - I am losing sleep thinking about the re-re Hotshot. I love these cars to death even though the original Hotshot I's seem to lack a little in the steering, they seem to articulate over terrain very nicely! ...and the 4WD is fantastic, as far as controlling these cars. They are indeed a blast to drive. Hopefully the new one comes out soon...I can't wait! -Cheers

Cool vid- looked like you had some spectators as well for a while.

Thank you for the kind words, necronomicon . It's funny how such a small car can draw so much attention. Although not shown in this vid, people walking through the park area where we run the cars - always seem to stop by for a look!

Enjoyed watching that very much! Nice powerslides! Cheers, Alistair G.

Thankyou for the comments Alistair G. These cars are always a blast to slide through the turns like that!
