Impreza with 3Racing LED Light System
DeeMiller  added: 02/05/2009 19:42:35
A short movie about the 3Racing LED Light System I have installed on my Impreza.
The motor is not connected as it is pure to demonstrate the system (duh).
Sorry for the bad quality but my camera doesn't perform very well in the dark...
Anyway, it's a clever and inexpensive alternative for the Tamiya light system and, more importantly, you don't need a control unit.
It even has two free slots for additional light circuits!
Excellent buy!

Impreza Ice Drifting II
DeeMiller  added: 03/01/2009 14:58:42
Part II of the Impreza Ice Drift Sequel (also see Part I).
Now it's set-up as a drifter with AW-greased diffs.
Cuz of the low temp, the grease locks up the diffs easely.
Not that you have much grip on ice, but still...
This exercise is very usefull as you can see.
Limited space, fixed point in the middle, very low grip.
I think I get the hang of it!
Much fun until I couldn't feel my fingers any more...lol!

Impreza Ice Drifting Part I
DeeMiller  added: 31/12/2008 13:27:46
I took my Impreza for some ice drifting on my pond today.
As you can see, my drifting skills on ice are not that good (in general not that good btw...).
Ice drifting is very tricky (I used normal rubber tires) but a good practice, even more because the set-up of the car is for speed (Novak 3,5R GTB).
Next year, I'll set it up for drifting again and hope to have better video.
For now: happy new year folks!

Brushless Bashing
DeeMiller  added: 16/06/2008 16:09:35
Last sunday, I took the TA-01 Impreza out for a spin.
I installed a Novak 5,5R GTB motorsystem with the largest gear ratio on the standard spur gear (motorpinion 16t) so it was at least a safe ratio...
I only used gear diffs with some AW-grease, as I don't think a ball diff would handle the power.
Together with rally block tires it is very fast as you can see in the movie.
A few crashes made the body crack a bit but the chassis held up pretty good.
I won't try a smaller gear ratio cuz I think it's fast enough...
The livery of the car is the 'nul car', used in rallys to examine the track before the real cars start.
I added a bicycle LED unit to simulate the flashing lights...lol.

Motor and battery were warm afterwards, not hot so this setup works pretty good!
With a NiMH 4300mAh you have about 10 minutes runtime and a good punch.
It may be my imagination but the 3800mAh NiMH ran a bit slower, the 1200mAh NiCd was defenately the slowest but had the same runtime.
Anyway, enjoy!
I did...;-)

Robbe Prinzess
DeeMiller  added: 04/11/2007 17:01:07
A short preview of my modified vintage Robbe Prinzess (Novak 5,5 Brushless GTB system). Still, I got some calibration to do...it's not stable at high speeds...when I got it figured out, I'll post the final vid. For now: enjoy!

Twin Motor F201 Renault R25
DeeMiller  added: 08/09/2007 19:04:31
As promised: a short movie of my Twin Motor Renault R25 RWD F201 car. Not the best quality but it shows what a dual motor set-up is like. The track was a bit slippery due to a little rain but i hope you can sence the feel of the car. Hope you like it.

The Alpine Project
DeeMiller  added: 30/08/2006 17:36:26
Repost: The Alpine Project...getting this Alpine chassis over 100kph...seems impossible...this vid shows the custom made gearbox to fit the Novak 5,5t Velocity. The trackday was ment to test the handling of the car and to run in the gearbox with a Corally 15t.
