Tamiya Astute versus Team Losi JRX Pro AJFord added: 10/01/2013 12:37:24 Short video of TC Member Jesse James driving his Astute (Black / Clear wing) vs another member of Castle Hill Off Road Club driving his Losi JRX Pro (Blue). Video was taken 18.11.12. Both of these these buggies show impressive speed given they are both running 540 silvercan motors. Just another example of some good clean one on one racing at the home of Vintage racing in Sydney...

Proof Boomerangs can fly... AJFord added: 16/09/2012 13:44:39 Proof Boomerangs can fly…..Here is another vid I just loaded to Youtube of another HotShot Class heat at my local track. The Hotshot class is exclusively for Tamiya buggies that have Hotshot gearboxes (Hotshots / Boomerangs / BigWigs / Super Sabres / Supershots etc). This vid is taken directly facing the table top to give you a good view of the old girls getting a little bit of air. My Supershot runs modern black 2.2 inch 3racing rims and modern rubber, along with Kyosho Platinum shocks. All buggies in this racing classs have Silver Can 540 motors.

Tamiya Astute testing at castle Hill OffRoad AJFord added: 08/09/2012 13:19:44 This is a video my mate Ed put together of my Astute getting some track time after the completion of a recent race meet. Eds Kyosho Maxxum and Kyosho Ultima also get a run in this video. Given this wasn't formalised racing, just a post race testing session, there is a heap of traffic including Short Course Trucks and modified buggies getting around. The focus is not always on the Astute, but you always know when it's going past....it sounds like a jet! :-) It was sporting a little bit of battle damage in the video, with a piece of the rear wing ripped off during earlier racing. This has since been fixed. ;-)

HotShot Class Racing at Castle Hill AJFord added: 07/09/2012 16:52:19 This is a brief video of one of the 'HotShot Class heats that took place at a recent Vintage Race meet my race club hosted (Castle Hill Off Road Club in Sydney). The HotShot class is a 540 motor class exclusively for any Tamiya buggy that runs HotShot gearboxes : Boomerangs, BigWigs, Hotshots, HotShot 2s, Supershots etc. My Supershot is leading the field in this small vid, it runs with modern rubber on modern black wheels. Apologies for the quality of the video, it was taken from a static position, so there is some downtime between buggies passing the camera position.
