taffer: Doing the rounds!
Yep thats my old car, the blue chassis was one of my first ebay purchases back in 2002 and I always had this colour planned for a Brat but it took me a while to do. Glad it's back on Tamiya Club and in good hands

sludgeguts: Beautiful brat
My old Brat :-) I do love it when my old cars resurface (not many do) I bought this many years ago as a standard red bodied original brat. I think the stickers that Andy did were perfect for the white paint. I was tempted to buy it back but I think I have enough Brats LOL.. Look after it and nice pictures by the way...

Percymon: Updated bear hawk
These are great cars and yes the DF03 shocks are a perfect fit (have a set on mine) they give the car a slight lift which I think it needs anyway for off road. I must get mine finished and listed some time soon LOL .. looks good by the way :-)

Wyoming: Tamiya box wrench problem
I have a similiar problem and have a large jam jar full including Marui ones (similiar to Tamiya) and Holiday buggy ones (not a cross) Any that are worn I use as key rings - copied the idea off purplebugsy on here..

best fun i've had in ages - I was surprised at how evenly matched we all were. Some good battles were had. Mines escaped pretty much ok apart from the tyres have a few mm off em now LOL oh and it still stinks ;-)

Cragus: Brat body has it in for me
I think this is a mixture of a few things / the cracking is the thinner in the paint below trying to escape so to speak. and looking at depth of cracks it looks like your trying to cover too much too quickly. Mixing paint brands is also not a good idea. I would suggest a full strip down, if you wash with fairy make sure you give it a good wah with plain water afterwards. Dust some nice light coats of plastic primer (in todays weather) leave plenty of time between coats, use a warm heater if you have one. 2 or 3 coats will be fine if body is good. Leave for a few days. Give a light flat down with at least 800 W&D . Give some light coats of paint / dont do too much too quick. Leave at least 10 mins between coats (less if warm) dont go too dry with paint - if it dont look too good when dry flat with 800 or 1200 and give another coat of colour. When finished leave to dry again for a few days / flat with 1200 and give a couple of coats of clear coat if required (same brand paint) key is patience -- too much too quick and you'll get problems as youve seen

TamTom: Look what i've found
As far as I am aware the narrow bumper was never fitted to the Grasshopper / Hornet. It was fitted to the early Frogs and as far as I can tell when the grasshoper and hornet came out with the wide bumper they standardised the Brat and frog to the wide bumper. I have NIB Frog and Brat both with original narrow bumpers and yes very rare as they are now very brittle if used.. Nice find

Wandy: The definitive poster car for 1980s teenagers.
I think these are a stunning kit - have one myself but plan to paint mine white. Agree this has much better proportions to the TT01.

rockthemonkees: Schumacher?? something?
yes it's an axis 2 - schumacher still list parts for it but some are becoming obsolete. I might have a few spares for this if interested just let me know. The ESC is also genuine schumacher again i might have a manual for that

stickerbod: Triggers broom
looks great Andy - just watch that bumper as they are very brittle. If it's a cold day when you run it be prepared for it to shatter into many pieces on the slightest of impacts ;-)

zakspeed: 84237 subaru brat chrome body edition
Hi Crash - thanks for that and yes it does look a bit like brushed ally. If you could enquire about the parts anyway I would appreciate it. I thought of using spray chrome as thats quite a matt finish. I have spares if it goes wrong ;-) Not sure how i'll do the interior but I do plan to build a dash and seats !!!!
