@ Thommo , Yeh Jesse James and I drove down together. He was, as always, right on the pace. His Dyna Blaster was awesome. Running a 17.5 brushless with turbo settings it was really moving. He picked up a trophy for his efforts with the Dyna Blaster in Class 3 (open class).		 03/06/2013 22:23:06

@ Capt Splatt I assumed it to be PS4, or at least the original equivalent of it. It's actually the original paint....lovingly applied by the original owner with a brush, which I guess makes it PC4. ;-) I see the sledging has officially now started for September as well. lol		 23/04/2013 14:59:41

@ Thommo A couple of reasons mate. I fitted oil filled CVA shocks to it, in leiu of the standard dry shocks, but more importantly and probably the underlying reason, is the MadCap is seen as a step ahead of the earlier plastic chassis buggies in terms of development. It is in essence almost an Astute, and in fairness, it probably isn't a real fair match up running a Wild One or Hornet etc against one. I'm cool with the ruling....I knew I was pushing the boundaries when building it. ;-)		 22/04/2013 02:08:00

@Grastens Thanks so much for your feedback. I do get a lot of satisfaction out of seeing these old classics circulating around an off road race track. I'm genuinely looking forward to seeing what you do with the Lancia you have acquired. I built one of those for my younger cousin at the same time as I built my Frog 'back in the day'. I spray painted the shell red just to make it a little different. I've daydreamed about buying and restoring a Lancia, but I need to draw the line in the sand and say enough already! :-)Actually, that seems to be my wifes job..... ;-)		 22/04/2013 00:54:17

I must admit, I've never really understood how an Egress could be created from a Vajra, when they seem to use 2 very different chassis? (Vajra chassis like an Avante). Guess I will need to take a look at the build you are referring to get it clear in my mind....		 26/02/2013 01:26:38

@ Aussie Top Force. Thanks heaps David. I typically run at Castle Hill, although Michael Toms has been 'getting in my ear' for a while now, so will probably attend a few meeting at St Ives this year....very keen on the Saturday nights under lights meets ;-) . Mate, you definately need to get yourself to some of the vintage meets we are organising. Great story David, your daughter looks supe happy with her new set of wheels. Heres some free advice for you. I'm currently part time racer, part time (near full time) pit director for my 2 sons (aged 8 and 5) when I go for a days racing. Man it is tough work! LOL.
