KingCab06: Wanted one for years
Glad to see it went to a good home :) The box art wheels are from the early cars which used foam tyres. For the Kamtec body you can work out how to trim by looking at the body you already have so it's a bit easier than trying to cut without an example to follow.

Incredible_Serious: Crc pan car-based f1 chassis
Nice car Alex, looks like a nice conversion but that front end and wheels would upset any F1 racers it went up against. :) The body is the 3Racing F109 body and the wings are the 3Racing F104 wing set. As the chassis has been modified to fit f1 wings then any f1 wings will go on there including all Tamiya ones. For alternative bodies look for bodies made for the F104, some of the wide f104W retro bodies would go great on there.

Flash3: Kyosho spider tf3-r 99
That's a Kyosho Spider TF3-R 99, from 1999. It is pretty rare as it was an update of the TF3-R with suspension unique to this car, the earlier TF3-R used the same suspension as the TF2. That's a great find.

The alloy chassis is not too much of a problem, I recently acquired a nearly new complete SP10 :)

wldnas: Recent progress: sg coyote body repaint
Nice paintwork there, not sure I would have the patience to do those checkers these days, they really made boxart a real test with this one and you've done it :)

wldnas: Recent happenings?
Hey Jason, I'm another one who has just returned to the fold after time spent elsewhere. If you are coming up to Bury we'll have to arrange a meet up as I'm just down the road in Stockport.

terry.sc: Tyrrell p34 six wheeler 1976 japan gp
WW-nut, nothing in the rules say a car must only have 4 wheels. Although the problem with F1s is rear end grip so the extra wheels and weight aren't going to improve performance. Got a 3Racing F109 for the serious racing!

They were released on 9 January, it's a Japan only limited release and it's hard to find anywhere as most shops sold out all their preorders and there's no more once they are gone. I believe Hobbylink Japan have some left in stock at the moment, but they are the most expensive and aren't main r/c car sellers. Street price is around $200 for it.

SpZero: Dtm striker
The DTM Stiker was one of the first racing touring car chassis, from the early 90s. The DTM was a narrow version of the Xpress Striker, which was based on the Tomy Intruder. My Xpress Stiker can be found here http://tinyurl.com/ld9zc6

terry.sc: Looks like i've got some sorting out to do.
Crash Cramer, if you want the tatty box, I presume you would want the new body left inside it ;) I don't think I will be disposing of it. It is a long wheel arch Ranger body and the chassis has hardly any use, but unfortunately the body is split right up the bonnet. The 959 is missing a few parts and the Holiday Buggy has hardly any use but the windscreen pillars and front spring mounts are broken.

terry.sc: Looks like i've got some sorting out to do.
Thanks for the comments guys, as usual with lots of cars, there's good news and bad news, but until I sort through the left hand box which is full of spares I won't know if I have the parts missing from the cars. These didn't come from ebay, it was from a local site but I still had to outbid other offers.

terry.sc: Ken dineens fs-2 4 stroke powered bike
OCD the clutch shoes are mounted on the flywheel just like a normal engine - the difference is that the flywheel is mounted on the end of the crankshaft instead of against the engine. It just means everything, including the crankshaft, has to be machined so the flywheel can be locked on while allowing everything between it and the engine can freewheel on the crank.

nogutsnoglory, it doesn't have the ultimate top speed of the best two strokes, but as the lower and stronger torque curve and smoother power delivery means it gets to it's top speed much faster and corners much better.

I know about Jays Pavadis shell, but it's a different shape and I prefer to hang on for a Works 91 body or clean up this one.

Finding the gearbox top isn't that difficult, the transmission and rear swing arms are the same as the Scorpion

sgt.barnes: The original ministock
The plastic window nets are good to still have. The early minis had proper metal wire mesh instead. I remember building a shop demonstrator when they first came out and had to cut the mesh windows out of the supplied square sheet with side cutters. No wonder they went to moulded plastic ones.

BiggusDitchus: New pivots for front wishbones
Not much left of the Sand Rover now Rich. In the days when I raced one the trick at the time was to drill a hole through the arm and pivot, then use a bolt with a large washer to pull the arm in tight to the end of the pivot. With a locknut on the end of the bolt it could be tightened up just enough to provide a degree of damping to the front suspension as well.

Still got my membership card as well, it's in my showroom. Not as useful as this club though, all we got was lots of publicity bumph sent to us. ;)
