sunnyjai: Re-re hornet, candy hopper on the roll!
now that's a good sight to see, especially the grasshopper and hornet and better still in the hands of the very people they were designed for and great to see the enthusiasm especially the last pic. Think you need to take some more action pictures as really enjoy seeing them, great stuff mate

MAD-BEE: Tamor you inspired me to get my hb off the shelf!!
The legendary holiday buggy back in action.... sure you had some fun with this mate and need to get one of my vintage pair running so i can see just how they handle, getting very difficult to decide what to take to yarmouth in 4 weeks mate and if i could would take about 10 of my runners lol...... hmmmm renault clio ? 4 adults ? luggage ? me thinks not- def my boomerang and fav runners and also the super hotshot runner i have built ... oh decisions decisions and it's all your fault with all these great pictures lol. Nice pictures my friend

sunnyjai: Meet my nasty old girl!
Always good to get another classic back in action and sometimes it's nice to have one that is not good enough to be a shelfer but good enough to run so when it's cheap to start with it can get run hard!!! have one or two bits and bobs runners in my collection and they are great fun.... love it mate

tamiya_runner: Wild one build day 2 - finished
Very nice, ended up using a re re chassis on my shelfer as finding an original in good condition was proving impossible. This looks ace mate well done

taffer: King of the farm!
Hmm looks interesting and maybe tamiya testing the waters with heavy machinery ? tractors are a good way of gauging public reaction and the model could be used in scale sled pulling like in the USA ? who knows but tamiya are renowned for trying new concepts and this may well be a huge success ... like it

ukzz4iroc: Tough
Very sweet looking clod and the very desirable chevy badge version is the one to own. Regret selling my runner and can't bring myself to run my own chevy one. Nice one

sunnyjai: My take on a frog special edition
Amazing how subtle changes to a car can enhance it's appeal.... this is one very simple change and it looks awesome!! tamiya for all their genius somehow always manage to overlook small details which could make a good car great, this would be a very simple factory solution merely with a different colour in the mold and hey presto instant appeal assured. In tamiya's eyes collectors are not the main target buyers but we have an eye for detail and sunny we hereby elect you as chief consultant to future product development on behalf of fans everywhere. Ps the frog looks wicked!!!

MAD-BEE: A wild time!!!! one last blast!!!!!
James just a quick message as i hear the door bell and men with long coats are here..... hmmm cant't remember ordering anything... and at this time???? anyway seriously buddy sure you will get another W/O but that train set idea ain't bad... i have around £2,000 worth to set up in my Girlfriends garage when i get around to it and all digital.... not quite as fun as these cars but good option when the dark nights draw in and the winter arrives. Anway let the guys in and apparantly i ordered a chair with leather straps for the arms and legs ???? must be the girlfriends kinky devil lol

beefmuffin: Suburban jungle
Thats two tamiya greats you have lurking in the grass there beef - Sort of finshed my own resto on my original BF with repro decals and looks how i wanted it which was my best efforts of 20+ years ago... and it looks ace!! wanted a look to to bring back memories rather than shelf so pleased. Now to finish off my MB shelfer and get pictures of the two outdoors like these.... sadly the grass has been mowed so the effect may be ruined lol. Good pictures

MAD-BEE: A wild time!!!! one last blast!!!!!
This indeed is a very sad day mr bee and one i'm sure your wild one will not forget... and when it's sat on the retirement shelf of vintage tamiya next to it's brothers and sisters it will speak in it's own distinctly tamiya , slightly electronic voice of this fine last day you gave it in the sun on that fine cornish sand ... with tears in it's spot lamps but happy tears and a very slight smile from one corner of it's lexan lip it will give one final twitch from it's steering servo and settle into a deep deep sleep which sad as it may be is deserved and this old girl will dream in a forever dream of the love you both shared and the fun you had.... sleep well little wild one. Errrr anyone seen my tablets lol???

AJFord: Wadonga vintage racing challenge 19.05.13
Looks like a great day and nice to see the old super shot in action and doing the job tamiya imagined it to do when they released it. Sure it has terrible bump steer but looks like you had it well tamed on the day and 2nd is a good result!! well done and good story

sunnyjai: My little bro's candy hopper
awww the old grasshopper now that brings a happy tear to my nostalgic eye.... my 1st ever was the grasshopper and pretty sure every collector on this site had one or used some ones during the golden 80's. I have two re-re's one for running one for the shelf (almost finished) and love the simple design and boy they are tough!!! sure the little brother-in-law will run this for a long while and will eventually progress but fast forward 20 years or so from now and sure he will be rescuing this from a dark attic or box and re-living his youth like we do now.... maybe with a re-re of the re-re? that my friend is the magic of tamiya..... ps love the green

gnatsum69: Tamiya fox
Think now is a good time to be getting an original fox off the old bay as prices are tumbling as the eagerly awaited re-re looms ever closer.... personally i will always favour an original and one in good condition is a bonus, nice buy and have to admit sucker for boxart blue but green does look really good
