Nice. I skipped the side panels and wings as well. It looks a lot cleaner that way.

Skottoman: Citroen 2cv on cc01 complete!
Looks great. I think I like the second picture the most as it's the little details like the luggage rack, luggage, stickers, bungie cords, canvas roof, hippie sticker, etc. that make this very unique...

gerolf: Mean machine
Cool buggy. The placement of the dampers and the chassis materials set this one apart.

JWeston: White.
The DB01 is a great machine. My son and I have three of them (two DB01Rs and one DB01) between us. The basic DB01 is made better with aluminum suspension mounts, slipper, and aluminum dampers... The DB01R has everything needed in the kit already. Hope you enjoy yours as much as we like ours!

A Barracuda shell would probably work well with those taller shock towers...

beefmuffin: Minimalist rising storm (df-02) with stealth body and big blackfoot wheels
I've done a few truck/truggy-like conversions on my DF02s as well; did you put in a 16T pinion in place of the original 19T pinion? That helps compensate for the larger tire size. I also found some extra preload helps with the sagging in the rear, and some heavier damper oil is an improvement. The extra ground clearance with the larger tires is great; it makes a great runner.

Looks great! I bought one of these kits recently as well, but haven't made the time to build it yet. I hear there are some alternate instructions for a few steps, and some recommended upgrades. Besides the Proline shocks, what else are you going to change?

Nice work! I really like this combination of Blackfoot body and solid axle/4-link Clod chassis setup, along with all the other mods.
