| description | This just arrived this morning in the UK having come from Japan...I only purchased it last Thursday morning, so at 96 hours that's pretty quick turnaround (from JR-RC). I've been pretty impressed with how buggies have come on in recent years, and was considering buying the DB01R or the TRF201. However, We've already got a Durga in the family with a few hop ups and two of the same seems kind of boring to me. The 2WD TRF201 didn't appeal, perhaps because it looks like too simple a build and a bit plasticy for a TRF. I always thought the 501 would be too expensive, but this one (Ok so it's not the World Edition version) just popped up at a price not hugely different to the current level you'd pay from the Far East for the DB01R and TRF201. It was one of those moments when you wonder 'is this a bargain?'. Maybe it is, maybe not, but at £178/$285 I'm happy to add it into the collection. Looking forward to the build at some point with all those lovely blue alu and carbon parts. Comments welcome as ever.

This one will certainly see some action guys, but it how quickly depends on finding the funds to get it running! All this brushless stuff is new to me so i need to work out which way to go
A true racing car this one, just like the DB01R and the TRF201. I hope you are going to race this car just as Tamiya made it for.
RUN IT
I can recomend you to contact Fredrik Emilsson via OOPLE.com - he makes a rear diff cover that solves the dust/pebble issue. He alsom makes LIPO frames in carbon fiber, to notch stuff
You'll also need some saddle pack batteries - normal stick type ones don't fit. Enjoy!
Going to be hard NOT to run this one, just need to decide what electronics and motor to go for
Wow, much cheapness! Think I would have hit the BIN button if I'd seen it! Is it for shelf or to run?
