Hi All,
I thought I would give an update on my Scorcher rebuild now aptly named the Magnum P.I. Scorcher. The body finally has some color on it....not finished but begining to look the part.....still have 2 more stripes to paint and then on to the detailing. The driver figure is however finished and I think he turned out well. I had planned on re-creating TC (from the TV show) as the driver but it turned out I think I would have had to use a whole tube of filler to make his ROUND face!!!! So, I compromised on this fella.......started with an old 'Ramblin Ron' head that I filled, sanded, and flattened the nose and lips to completely makeover his appearance. The body is from the Blitzer beetle tree that I filed off the suit on the arms to make the short sleeves and filled in the front to give the appearance of the 'Hawaiin' t-shirt.

More to come.....comments as always are welcomed and appreciated!

Your TC is such an awesome custom job! I like the tires you're using in front, and the paintscheme is indeed reminiscent. By the way, while Knight Rider and Magnum PI had most fans, I believe my favorite TV series from the 80's was The Fall Guy (that, if you don't consider the Dukes as an 80's show). But anyway, I hope to see this one finished soon. Could well be one of the nicests custom Scorchers around. Cheers

Very cool, that driver could pass for a native, except for his shirt having slices of pizza on it, haven't seen a Hawaiian shirt with pizza on it before.

@Funny man (a.k.a Crash C.)....I've been waiting for the 'what the H@#L is on the shirt' comment. You try painting 1/10 scale flowers...every Hawaiin shirt I've ever seen looks like somebody puked on it anyway so I thought this would be a step up! Figured if the driver got hungry he could just eat his shirt!!!(p.s. I lived in Hawaii for 3 years)
So what was for dinner tonight Chris, thick crust, thin crust, or deep dish????

Nothing tangible to show at the moment EB, someone once said the reason I have too many projects is because I get easily distracted....I can definitely relate to that statement!!
