I'm addicted to this chassis
I am a huge fan of the Thundershot series of kits (Terra Scorcher, Thundershot, Thunder Dragon & Fire Dragon). This I think must come from the fact my first ever Tamiya was a Terra Scorcher. I have a number of these cars now and really find them a pleasure to rebuild. I'd been looking a obtain a NIB Terra Scorcher but I've waited too long and the prices are now too high. Therefore I set my heart on a Thundershot or Thunder Dragon. There were a number of NIB Re-release Thundershots about but I wanted an original (with the mechanical speed controller etc). In the end none other than Mr John Weston listed a NIB Thunder Dragon on here. I had a little think because I had too many other cars sitting about already without room, but in the end I managed to clear some space for it. I have traded with John a number of times and he is a true gent. Long term I don't suppose it will be built but It's nice to know I have a NIB of my favourite chassis!

Nice one Such a great kit isn't it? Jam packed with stuff. Must have been great to build back in the day. I'm a massive Thunder Dragon fan as it's one of the Coro Coro's. (along with Super Dragon, Saint Dragon & Fire Dragon). Pleased it went to a good home J

Nice find - i picked up a used one, tidied it up witha sport tuned motor and some 2.2 wheels. Runs great - i quite like its 'retro space age' shell

My first ever tamiya was a hand me down thunderdragon ~ I drove the balls off it and it never broke or let me down. there was not much it could not tackle either. Great kit, one which i'll be looking to add to my collection in the future! Nice one!
