Nice story, and yes what a lovely car and worth the wait. I dont know if I'd build it or just keep it NIB, it looks like it would be an absolute pleasure to build. I love waiting for parcels, wether it's a NIB or a wreck for me to restore to glory. The one NIB I want at the moment is a Super Shot, a re-re will do. I plan to just enjoy a box-art build with attention to detail. I think its one of the greatest kits Tamiya as ever released, it comes with all up-grades as standard, a rare for Tamiya. I love the Porsche 959, it looks quite technical and a challenge to build. Enjoy it what ever you do with it my friend.

I bought my 959 NIB back in 2002 before I had even heard of Paypal. God I was nervous after going to the bank to withdraw a load of cash, then changing it into $ and then sticking it all in an envelope to Hong Kong. It must have been 3 or 4 agonising weeks! Looks like you have a real beauty there... Rothmans decals too! Lovely purchase!

A great addition to you collection. I know the feeling when you are anxiously waiting for something to arrive in the mail on a day to day basis...........only to find out it is being held at customs!! I have frequently driven down to my local depot to collect goodies.

Nice It's a great feeling, isn't it? For myself, I receive all of my mail at a rented post box at one of those copy/mail/fax places. Whenever I make the drive down the hill to get my week's worth of mail, I'm often forced to remind myself what goodies might be waiting. For example, I ordered some paint from HK that was shipped via SURFACE which means I might not see my prize for MONTHS! lol. On the other hand, when my 959 was due to arrive ~ it was like an extra birthday! Congrats
