| description | Shortly after I bought this model (From Italy in Sep 2005), I took it apart, removed the flaking decals and black paint (body had never been painted). It remained like this for almost 7 years. During this time, I tracked down a few missing parts (2 x rear side windows), New wheels (front & rear), original 380 motor, and an original switch set (NIP). Last year, my wife and I decided on doing a house extension, and my models will soon get a purpose-built display area. This made me want to finish-off my 935, as I didn't want to display the car in bits, and want them all displayed in model number order. It wouldn't look good, if No.2 wasn't finished, so it got me going. I downloaded the manual pages, completed the chassis, and then begun on the body. I had to glue the body parts back together - one part per night, so I could leave the glue setting over night (with the body positioned so the part wouldn't move). With the body mostly together, it got painted, and then I applied the original 'water-slide' (fun task) over a few nights. After studying the manual, I noticed I don't have the proper front bumper, but it looks close enough for me. I also noticed there were 'helmet decals' on the decal sheet (used in static kit), and thought about using them. No-one on TC has ever applied them to the helmet of the 935 driver - It not shown in the manual. I set about re-searching the driver (Jochen Mass), and manged to get hold of some images of his helmet. I used the decals that 'kind-of-matched', and did my best to make the most of them. It turned out pretty well, and they can easily be removed with water if needed. I only blu-tac'ed the drivers support in-place, and might paint black in the future. I didn't want to drill a hole for the antenna wire, so I simply bent a thin piece of alloy flat bar, used double-side tape to stick to underneath the chassis and then mounted an alloy 'screw-on' antenna holder to the end of it. Then antenna tube comes up just beside the rear wing. I installed some RC gear, and now have fun driving this model around at home. I installed the 'Training' reduction gear, so it goes pretty slow. I felt I'd lose these parts if I didn't install them !!! I am now working on another 'model in bits' the 58008 CS Countach ... I want my shelves looking good for my wife !!!

Fantastic!
Beautiful, just beautiful!
Great result on this 935. Similar to the 58001 these early RC kits remind me of static kits, due to their fragile shell construction and immense detail.
LOOKS GREAT !!!!!!
What a beauty! You have done this model proud and it will look fantastic on your shelves!
