description  This has caused me all sorts of problems over the last week. In fact I reckon it's the most hassle I've had getting a car going. Main problems were diagnosing a stripped spur gear and a dodgy 101BK. Didn't realise they were both knackered so I was going round in circles for literally hours and hours.. This will be filmed for IconicRC Youtube and hopefully it won't break (that's 50/50 I reckon). I bought her from my pal stickerbod and she'd clearly seen a lot of use. I splashed out on a rere Body and Decals but used the spare sponsor decals from my vintage sheet so there are no modern sponsors on the body. Decided to go non-Box art as I already have a red vintage but wanted a vintage colour so decided upon yellow. I've also put better rims and tyres on and fitted a 104BK. The best bit as far as I'm concerned though is the Technituned motor. I got that motor on a Fox and actually thought it was a Technipower until I looked at it properly. Technituned must be quite rare as I hadn't heard of them. Research tells me that they were a kind of 'battery saver' endurance motor so I'm not expecting her to be particularly fast but that's fine. A thanks to gingerspice for the driver's head. Final photo is the new ramp for when out and about with the chaps. Cheers, J

Thanks chaps No Pugs were harmed during the taking of that last photo. It was a still shot rather than an action one J

I love these in yellow, need to do one myself. I have some yellow tires on vintage wheels here waiting for me. I think the Technituned may be just as rare as the rest of the lot, depending on how well your Tamiya stockist bought their stuff. I really need to rebuild one of my gold series motors, so if you want to trade the yellow tires and wheels, I can do that.

Nice car mate! Bit worried though, looks like it's about to fly into the completely unaware dog on last pic, did he/she survive?!

Very nice in yellow john - my vintage runner i have come to the conclusion is too nice to run.... which is a pain as my re-re is also too nice so that is finding a new home very soon (won't spill the beans but you know who you are lol) . So with this beauty as inspiration i may get a new shell for the old runner and thinking maybe two tone??? don't see many like that . Lovely pictures as always and troublesome or not every collection should have one.... love them

One of my absolute favourite buggies. Unfortunately my runner is also old stock and something breaks everytime I run it. This propably says more about my drivingstyle, but I think the main reason is that the plastics in these gets very fragile over time. Great car to run though!

I know why you did yellow but the Hotshot is by far best in its red box art...Theres a but!! I am loving the yellow JW! Yellow is not a colour i have used much but since doing my Wild One this colour its appeal has become apparent! Very nice and well worth the trouble and extra grey hairs!! Ramp looks fun!! Cheers MAD-BEE

Love the colour mate. Half tempted to try and get myself a project Hotshot now so I can paint it a very 80s loud colour.
