So I had quite a nice Kyosho Blizzard, fully ballraced but other wise stock. Good fun, nothing wrong with it, but then I had an (insane!) idea...

The body is completely scratch built from various thicknesses of styrene sheet. It's roughly based on the M113 but I've had to take a few liberties. Height and body width (excluding track guards) are close to 1/10 but it's too short. It's basically a M113SW!!

But a true scale model wasn't the objective, I wanted something fun and a bit different and I think I've done that... :)

Cheers, Rob

Edit - now with lights! :)

I love to see this... While I was in Infantry (long, long time ago...) I worked as mechanic and used to service these aluminum boxes. From changing 'flat tires' to removing complete power units. And what a headache with imperial wrenches.... ..... I want one of these M113SW. Just a question comes to me looking at the crew.... Does it wheelie, mister?

Thanks for all the kind comments guys.

To answer a couple of questions, no I haven't really thought of a name for it and yes, it does just about pull wheelies, especially in reverse!!

As it is not quite the same length as an M113 should be - compared to its other dimensions...

...paerhaps it oughta be an M56.5 ?

I sometimes don't get why folk bother with lights....but Boom!!!! That little change has made that vehicle complete! I did not notice before but this vehicle really needed them! I think even switched off those lights would look the part! Nicely done Rob.
