| description | I guess that you all are annoyed about the bad battery pin on the boomerang. I have been restoring some Boomerangs now and I didn't want to by a new chassie to all of them just because of the battery pin.
My solution is a quick fix. 1. make a mark as far to the left (in picture 1) on the battery pin as possible, and maybe just a few millimeter more to the left once you have taken the battery pin out of it's tray. 2. Make a hole in the pin. Take the body clips and bend the top of it 90 Degrees or even maybe 95 degrees. I found it best when the waved side of the body clips where facing the front of the car, so make sure that you bend the body clips the right way. 3. then you are done, just set the battery pin in position and put the body clips in place. Check if the body clips top is bend so much that it will hide in the battery pin tray. You will be needing a small scredriver or something similar to remove the body clips. Thanks for looking and I hope this will be useful for someone. |

Hehe, Yeah that is a even easier quick fix
Every boomerang I have seen has this problem. Never thought about a fix... like this idea. I have searched the dirt many times to try to find a boomerang pin... luckily have found it every time. I painted the pin red everywhere except for the handle end so I can find it easier.
Yeah let's hope not. The 3 Boomers that i have restored needed this fix. The fourth one i did buy a new chassie to.
Great tip, I hope my Boomer on its way won't need this fix, but I guess I will know in a few more days.
