Acid Willy

UPDATE: March 2013: Well I finally got around to modifying another Willy head - this time I raised the brow part of the helmet, cut MX style vents in the chin guard (complete with foam inserts!) and made a working visor/shield from a piece of clear plastic packaging and a couple of low-profile allen bolts. Acid Willy is now behind the wheel of the Fro-Sco - I left off the bottom half of his right foot to clear the steering servo - perfect!

Previously... You wait ages for a new Willy, then two come along at once! Actually, this version is not quite finished yet - I have plans for an alternative helmet [SEE ABOVE] but this will be Willy's outfit for riding around in the Fro-Sco...

I started off painting the overalls mustard, then orange, then red - but none of them really grabbed me... So I started to sand the paint off, and the result was this sort of urban camo effect, in Acid colours! I dry-brushed some dirt into his creases, dressed him in some gardening gloves - and hey presto! - the stuff sartorial nightmares are made of! Jx
