Hang Loose Willy
February 2013: So not content with chopping the various heads of Willy around, I thought I might have a go reshaping one of his hands - particularly as a number of the Willys I've painted have been waving rather than holding the gear stick... with a sharp knife and some filler, it seems the possibilities are almost endless - although I'll try to keep them 'family friendly' of course! Jx

Great painting as usual. Shading on the race suit is very good, when I try it never seems to work.

Thank you everyone - Yes, I was really pleased how this one came out! I think the pale blue suit worked particularly well (so much that the driver for the STUMPkin Extreme is in a similar blue), and the technique I use is a thin black colour wash all over, but concentrating in the creases, then use my finger tip to rub over the raised areas, to sort of polish those if you see what I mean? Takes a bit of time adding the 'dirt' in the right places to get the correct shading, but it seems to be effective...
