I built this car from new when I was 14, it was originally red but I changed it to blue. It has quite a few upgrades and home made parts including chassis plate and radio plate, which was designed off of a super champ (I also still own). My box of spares contains all the parts I never put on, door handles, wipers and exhaust. I think it weighs around 900grams now which made it faster. I recently fitted a new speed controller as my old Novak one was toast, and the rear tyres perished. I fitted ball races from new. I have now a re re diff that may go in. It was never seriously raced as I lived far from any tracks, I ran it a few times on a good track in Sydney's north, I think it was called Mt Kuring-Gai. Today it lives happily on the shelf with an occasional run on grass.

My first buggy Home made radio plate Faster direct steering. Body modded when a rear was fender broken off Roll cage and shock mount bulit by myself at 15 Rear end with upgraded arms One piece chassis sump guard stiffner plate

Nice unique bug, rear sus looks a good improvement, I've always thought the rear sus on a lot of Tamiyas is way too pre-loaded, the SS is one of them. Nice mods!

Awesome feedback. @ dirt-540, the rear sus works well and is set up to sit flat when running. @ BeetleOne, DennisM and Cooltoys. All the work was done in my dads shed. The chassis/radio plates were cut by hand and formed in a vice so too the roll bars. A BIG THANKS
