This is a custom aluminum skid plate that I fabricated for the transfer case on my F-350 High Lift. No fancy 'machining' here just used some aluminum, a ruler, marker, tin snips and a dremel sander and it came out really well. Obviously, this will also work for both the Tamiya Hilux and Tundra since they share the same chassis as well as quite a few other models with some modification. After installing a Bamatech beltdrive system that raised the transmission and removing the original infamous/cumbersome skid plate assembly, I was left with a lot more ground clearance and an exposed transfer case that needed protection and couldn't find any examples online of how people were solving this problem so I came up with this. It's made of aluminum so it's lightweight and strong and became appropriately scratched/dented with use which adds to the scale realism. I painted it black to match the rest of the undercarriage (last picture). The pictures are self-explanatory and of course there are an infinite number of designs that can be fabricated depending on your application but I hope this helps someone out there. Thanks for looking and hope you enjoy.

Ready to bend after careful measurements/cutting. Initial shape. Final product after cutting and filing edges. Other side. Transfer case...now you see it... ...now you don't! Low profile. Painted Tamiya X-18 black.
