My first 1:1 car was a 1973 Opel Manta A, so I just had to have this one :-) The car is a 1:10 touring car with shaft 4WD. It comes pre-assembled (in Finland!) apart from the bodyshell which needs to be cut out, painted and stickered up (the first 2 pics are factory pics). A weird thing about it is that the body is split in half! Seems like the company is out of business, so parts are probably hard to find. But the collector's value should be good for this one given time...

Sold on FINN 18.10.2014 for NOK 1.298 - the same as I originally paid for it at Small Size in Oslo. The buyer turned out to be a bit Opel Manta enthusiast with A LOT of 1:1 Mantas! :-)

The two part shell is not uncommon - Parma and HPI have both produced shells this way
Where the front and rear detail tucks back away from the front and rear ends (ndercuts), getting a one-piece plug out of the shell would be impossible.
Tamiya overcome this using 2 or 3 pieces molds, other companies use 2 piece shells.
If you're going to paint the shell, don't use lexan paint - it makes the shell very brittle

Nice shells, but like the others say: Water-based paints only!
I painted my mk 1 Escort with Tamiya PS-paint, and the body cracked when I applied headlight stickers to the grill.
He's selling them again on eBay, but still no warning about the paint.
