Couldn't resist this Re-release from Tamiya!
I've always admired the various incarnations of the SRB buggies but it wasn't until the (re) release of the Super Champ ~ now called the Fighting Buggy (which was apparently the car's original name in Japan) that I was persuaded to open my wallet & buy one! There's something about the Super Champ that always made it stand out above the others SRBs (perhaps its the rear shock with remote reservoir) or the more realistic proportions of the shell? Being a limited edition model adding extra appeal & prices seemingly affordable from HK suppliers means that I can justify my purchase. This has already been tucked away in the loft - but I do hope to build this one day for gentle running. Having seen a few of these in non-box art colours I am tempted to do something different also :-)
What do we have here? Blister for the g'box castings was split, oh-well

Very nice kit . I notice from your pics that there are pipe clamps for the roll bar to rear loop , instead of using zip ties like the old version . I made this mod to my original Super Champ some years ago the give the bar setup more strength and it was far more rigid

Congrats...an excellent purchase! Get ready for all of the comments though telling you that the Super Champ is not really a SRB.
