Finished the Jimny to initial first step so I could drive it a little, I will later do more customizing and mods as I get time, but if nothing else got done I would still be happy with it. I love this little truck, sure my CC01s will climb circles around it but this is just cute and fun to drive. Both diffs are locked and the rc4wd tires have good bite so I spent some time just tooling it around looking for small scale sized obstacles. ;)
Only thing so far I want to improve is the stock 'pogo' shocks need to be upgraded to oil filled units and I think I'll redo the battery location and use smaller packs hidden up out of sight on or in the chassis, the stock location would be great for road/rally use with low cg but i go slow and need a little more clearance and I don't like seeing the pack ends in my photos, just minor little things that I'll change for my use of this little guy, but all in all so far I love this little guy

Love it! Looks great on that wheel / tyre combo too. I wish I could justify spending that much money on them! (Wheels / tyres must've cost as much as the Jimny Kit?)

Very cool looking truck

Thanks guys, @Steve they are older discontinued wheels from RC4wd some of the first 1.55s they made although I can recall what they called them but I bought them on clearance from the crawler store a few years ago for half price. @jeekelemental I have a chassis picture in my other posting of this car @chrisrx718 yes they are costly but the wheels were half price closeouts a few years ago so they were only like $50 for the set and $50 for the tires so not quite as much as the car but darn close Can almost buy real car tires for what model ones cost these days.

Seth, you always seem to get the deals. Very cool looking truck and it can only get better from here. Interesting reuse of an FJ tire carrier cover on the back.

The black accents on the body and the 1.55 wheels work so well on this. Love it!

Looks amazing Seth! Wow, the wheel/tire combination, along with the color, work great together. Nice job, as always!

thanks guys, paint is PS-15 metallic red backed with ps-12 silver then ps-5 black, the black trim was done on outside using the clear film as masking then I used ps-55 flat clear on the black areas also

Love the colour !! That is sooo nice. Really gives the body more depth and realism imo.
