When my mate texted me from the office to say my Monster Beetle had arrived, I put my foot down and got to the office in 15 minutes flat! lol

I went straight to my desk without clocking on and opened up the box. I was off duty so they couldn't say anything...and I had a good look inside for 10 minutes LOL...It was like Christmas morning!!!!!! Thanks Joanne at Fusion Hobbies!

I can't wait to build this...but I will leave it until I have finished a lot of DIY around my house first. I am up to my neck in tools and wood at the moment lol....

Box art build...fully ball-raced.....The magnificent Monster Beetle!!! ;)

Excellent! How many TC members do you think will be up till the small hours building MB's (sorry mate apart from you) I'm the same box art full bearings but with sport tuned in it. Already spent the afternoon priming and painting the body still nice weather so thought I'd make hay while the sun shines as they say! Enjoy yours mate!

I never had the original, but I am very pleased to own the re-release! I may buy another one in the next 6 months.....How can I have a built one without having a NIB one? lol That's my excuse anyway lol

That's a good excuse, and why not get more if you can!

I am getting more jelouse every post. I do wonder how different the body is from the original as I intend to buy the red body later.

Thanks guys! I think the body is identical to the Blitzer Beetle (without comparing side by side). I don't know why they mould it in red because it does need painting to be fair. Mine will be painted as I love the painting and finishing stages of a build

Nice to see these finally hitting the stores. I'm still amazed that they managed to squeeze all of the parts into this much smaller box than the original came in.

Wow, did not realize the boxes were also different sized, but I don't have the new one yet. I like body color molds as I don't paint all that well, and TBH, I can just slap on those new decals with no remorse and run the sucker.

Fair enough Crash! That is probably why Mr T moulds in different colours! In case you can't paint!

Or be bothered to paint it!

Decals on and as Chris said! Run the sucker!

But do agree its best to paint the shell on display stuff!
Very nice mate you must be like a Fox in a chicken coop!

I will cheers. Only 6 or 7 of my cars get driven flat out bonkers balls-out loony-tune style! Cars like my Street Rover and Monster Beetle will get driven carefully on nice days. I enjoy driving MINT cars slowly so I can look at them in the sunshine lol
