Traxxas radicator this one came from the states recently built from new in box in the last few years. Comes with the Traxxas pistol grip transmitter and servos plus receiver. These cars were Traxxas latest rc racing models in 1989 at the time they were god awful very slow and very brittle so not very popular to say the least. Today very rare to find just for these reason's plastic and breakable! I only seen two pop up over the last few years in this kind of condition. The second version was the updated and modified Traxxas gold bullet version this too is very hard to find. Not a massive following for these cars but a very cool model to have in the collection just for the fact it's all the right ideas and layout but so wrong in build material's. The box art also was totaly 80's a shocking pink with shocking decals lol. I think That's why I like it so much it so represents the 1980's..... Florescent socks, big radios and break dancing.
1988 Traxxas Radicator shockingly bad but in a good way.

It sure looks as good as it would have back in them late 80's we all seem to me, or is it just me that misses them??

Wow! Have not seen one of these in this condition since it was at my LHS. Just as mint as the RC10 you posted!

Thanks scollins its a hard racer to find, I liked the price at first when I found it, made a deal then had it shipped over. There are not that many around so fingers cross it will give me a good return when it leaves me and finds a new owner.

With those white parts and beefy shocks and drive shafts these are fascinating cars to look at, for sure. I saw one of these up close for the first time at the VONATs entered in the concourse event and posted a pic of it in my showroom. They look so RC-10-like it's a real shame that they were slow, fragile runners which I didn't know. I guess that's why I never see them run at a vintage event. Great example nevertheless.

Nice keepsake, I too prefer Traxxas' vintage models to their modern stuff. One day I would like to acquire a Sledgehammer
