Restored Super Champ
This is my 2nd ever rc car, imported from Hong Kong. I've had it finished a good while even before the re-re. Had to make major repairs to the body with a whole new roll cage from styrene and reattach the rear end too. Fitted the after market rear bumper with lip bearings for better alignment on the rear swing arm. Everything except tyres is as had it 30 odd years ago

That looks real nice and it resembles the same color as Mongoose's Rough rider he posted. I think this buggy looks a bit better with RR wheels and rubber under it. Are you worried you will bend the rear end plate with the zip ties in there instead of the band stops???

...And by the way that is one SWEET Japanese Futaba transmitter. It's strange my friend Crash would not notice it at all!

Hi Crash and Mongoose I was inspired after seeing Mongoose1983s Rough Rider, looking so cool, finally put my Super Champ up. You are on the money with the blacked out roll bar, it will complete the look. The band stops have been damaged / stretched to use. Thanks for all the comments Guys!!!

I will have a rummage around and see if I don't have a pair of band stoppers and zip ties to send you.

I'm starting to wonder if the radio is an 'LR' because you might be able to reverse the servos??

Hi Crash Cramer, yes it is has indeed the reverse switching function. And it still works! Thanks for having so much interest in my car guys.
