This was my birthday/Christmas present to myself for 2015, a NIB Kyosho Tomahawk kit, part #30615B. This was my first Kyosho build, pretty nice bit of kit, no real problems or complaints. Servo saver post and rear suspension arm assembly was a bit fiddly, but not too bad. This was built stock from the box, the only additions were Kyosho SCW018 LED Light Kit, and Kyosho SCW012 Universal Swing Shafts. I really like the universal shafts. The light kit was a bit fiddly to install and keep the wires neat, but I am glad I installed them. I chose to run the 'light protector thingy' on the roof. Besides protecting the lights, it also ties the body into the aluminum roll bar. Looks a little 'strange', but a good idea for a runner. I installed a Novak #3337 Edge 2S Ballistic 17.5 system, should have some good power. This ESC just clears the driver figure. If you want to use the driver figure, you need a short ESC. I was planning on 'stepping into the future' on this build, even though it is an old design, and finally getting a 2.4 radio, and 2S lip/ battery charger, but I spent that money on a 58141 Tamiya Wrangler :-) So, this one hasn't run yet, but hopefully it will be running this summer, seems to be a capable buggy. I love my SRB's and my Super Champ, but performance wise, I think this thing will run rings around them. Just wish it had a hard body, but the polycarb is probably better for performance. Feel free to comment, good or bad :-)

Pretty good looking buggy, for not being a Tamiya! Front view, down low, lights look funny from here Looks fast just sitting there!!! Business end, Novak 17.5 Edge Ballistic system Used chrome sticker, light install detail Bit tricky running the wires but worked out well Just needs a radio then it will be ready to rip!! Driver, white PC paint on outside, then acrylic When it was under construction Not many parts, also optional parts

Love the 'business end' shot! My fav BL system too. If for some reason they don't re-re the original Ultima then I'll def build one of these as a runner. Really quality.

Lovely. There isn't enough love for the Tomahawk around these parts, it's a fantastic looking buggy.
