The Lunimog!
I've always liked the various Unimog models, and when I saw Mokei Kagaku's build it triggered the familiar 'I want one!' response!!
It took a while but here it is. It's a shortened Unimog body on a WR-02 chassis. The load bed was removed and a drop bed built from plasticard. The whole body was painted on the outside.
The chassis has the usual hop-ups - steel pinion, bearings, oil shocks. The body has front and rear lights, and the flashing roof light to finish it off. (A big 'thank you' to JennyMo for her help with the lights).
Obviously I couldn't resist adding a crew - had to be done!!
Hope you like it,
Cheers,
Rob

Rob, another wonderful job.You should open your own bussiness selling these pieces of art.

So awesome. Needs some scale logs in the back too! Are those exhaust stacks standard or did you make those?

Thank you both. Opening a business sounds like fun, but I think there's too many hours in each car to make it viable. Nice idea though!
Hadn't thought of logs, will see what I can find. The exhausts are from a Farm King (available as a spare part).

I agree. Your detailing is superb. I would like to have that kind of skill. Great job!

Hi, great job - am thinking of doing the same myself but first wanted to ask how did you get such a clean join when reattaching the tailgate? Cheers Matt
IBIFTKH
Matt, thanks for the kind words. The tail gate join - I was pretty careful when I cut the body, obviously trying to keep the cuts as straight and clean as possible. If I remember right, there's a line moulded into the side of the body which makes a good starting point. It's all reinforced with plasticard on the inside and the hazard board things cover the joins on the outside. Hope this helps, good luck!
