Kyosho Integra Custom
I haven't posted anything in a while, however i have been very busy wit various projects. I tend not to post a car unless its 100% complete, and herein lies the problem as often i need one part, or its in the post or i haven't bought cause i want to save on shipping etc etc. This car was 95% completed more than a year ago but i just finished off the linkages over the weekend
I got this car locally from a guy who bought it used and had it for a few years not knowing what to do with it. It came to me as is. One of my buddies actually suggested i leave it as is with that old patina look...very Mad Max orientated. However personally I'm not into that. And so i set about the 2 year resto project
What was done:
1. Stripped car down
2. Roll cage was sand blasted then powder coated blue
3. Engine/bearings was cleaned bead blasted as well as all other parts
4. Some parts where hi polished
5. Some smaller parts where re chromed
6. Front bumper washed and polished black
7. Tires where completely done for...so i got new ones from Marwann and did the lettering
8. The battery/servo tray was dented/rusted so i had a new one made in the exact dimensions of
the older one. Then i had this blasted as well.
9. I fitted all electronics and did the brake/throttle linkages.
10. The chassis was cut by some previous owner so i had a plate fabricated to attach rear roll cage to as well a base for tank to fit on.
So far this has been my most extensive restoration project. Because it came as a bit of a Frankenstein i decided to restore it as a new version of how it came instead of restoring it to exact factory specifications. Very happy to have this one as a companion to my Box Art Vanning. Thanks for looking. Comments always welcome.
