This is the third GT2 body I've done and each time I try to improve on the last one. The only downside to this is it takes progressively longer to produce each car. This one seemed to take forever even though the body was painted last year and I re-used the interior from the last previous cars. The cage is from my white street version painted TS Silver Leaf.
There were a few new changes and improvements I wanted to make for greater realism - I cut out and meshed the grilles like I've done on many other models, the chrome exhausts were painted with flat clear to loose the shine and I added the same towing eyes, air jack connector and roof aerials from my M3s.
It's painted the same PS Cobalt Green as specified for the 934, the TS equivalant was limited edition and hard to find so I sprayed the wing PS then sanded and cleared with TS clear.
The Vaillant stickers are from the 49400 934 kit. I had them spare after doing one of the 934 bodies non box art. The shape of the 993 is very close to the 934 except for the arches so the stripes around the rear arches would not fit. I had to extend the stripes that run along the top of the doors as they were about 10mm too short. I used 1.2mm micro screws for the arch rivets which I wasn't too sure about at first but now I quite like. There are holes in the arches now so not really a reversible mod! The body itself is one of the 49387 body sets with the black wing released without stickers a while back. Unlike the kit body it has no holes predrilled, which is always a bonus so I was able to stealth mount it.
The chassis got a few tweaks too - mainly the replacement of the fixed length upper arms with adjustable ones to allow for that race car camber.
New additions:
- Cut out and meshed grille and brake vents
- Matte black under intercooler
- Mesh between intercooler sticker and spoiler grille

My My MY, you have done this so well, it is astounding. You mentioned Victorious Secret in one of your forum posts. I really hope he gets to see these as I think he would enjoy them to no end. Amazing look you have achieved and all it seems to ask for is the tiniest bit of soot on the exhaust trumpets.
