Scorcher bodied Kyosho Ultima Pro
My desert racing beetle: Slow progress, but I finally got around to painting it with tamiya ts brilliant red, and stickered too!
Playing with wheel and tyre combos, some aftermarket ally rims for show with SBs at rear and 1/14 truck tyres front, and vintage kyosho fluo yellow racing rims for running with vintage Kyosho Bridgestone fronts and Dynamite Racing 'suckers' at rear. I'll be running this a bit on the beach and AstroTurf.
Should handle amazing, as the chassis is pure unadulterated Kyosho Ultima Pro.
I love this one.

Hi Bdamit the Truck wheel tyre combination looks great. What do you think about mounting the body a little higher in the rear end ? Cheers SCB

Thx fellas.
@southerncross-
It does look a bit saggy in the rear, but I have the dampers set super soft- I'll add a picture with a harder setting.
Haha you don't know how much tweaking I had to do to get the body snug on the Kyosho chassis, without compromising its original Sand Scorcher chassis fittings.

Meeeega!
I've never thought about putting a Beetle body over an Ultima chassis. Great idea, excellently done!

Excellent job, it looks great, yeah I am always a fan of a higher rear..
Can you show a pic without the Scorcher shell please, just to see how you've done it..
Great work....
