Got this from a local trading site nearly 6 years ago. After a few emails back and forth I realised that I was dealing with fellow TC member Glitch.Great guy to deal with. The car was in a bad state.I started a 3 years back but then i got back into racing a bit and assisted my buddies in building a off road track so this just sat, dismantled on my desk.Anyways, a few months later I completed the chassis. Then it sat on the bench for another 2 years till i found a painter willing to paint her. He did a fantastic job, my camera doesn't do it justice. Still some small details to do but for me its done and onto the next. Thanks for looking.Comments advice always welcome.

Thats looks really nice, one of the best looking Mountaineers I have seen.

Thanks Harold and Andy. The chassis work is not that hard given i do nitro cars. The shell is the really really difficult part - stripping old paint, repairing cracks etc etc

Always nice to see an original!

Great restoration! Must have felt awesome to finally finish after 6 years!

Looks great. I'm currently finishing up the paint and details on my Mountain Rider. I know the Mountain Rider is just a re-release of this Mountaineer, but it was nice to be able to build mine from a NIB kit.

Thanks for the kind words SCB, does feel great knowing its 1 of the 4 vintage 3 - Speeds complete. @Superchamp, its nice having the original but if i didn't, the re release would be good enough for me. Have to admit though, the bruiser original or re release is still my favorite.
