Whenever I go to paint a body I'm always scratching around trying to find whether I have the right paint or masking tape or sharp scalpel blade etc. - it drives me mad! So I finally decided to do something about it and after looking at lots of storage containers I came up with the idea that I would build one myself which held everything I needed in one place and this is the result. I purchased a sheet of 9mm ply and got most of the cuts done by my local DIY store with their nice timber saw - that gives a you a really good start to getting everything square etc. The backing is 6mm ply, rebated into the sides for strength then the whole thing has had a coat of wax to seal it. Quite pleased with the result and it has freed up another drawer in a storage unit for other spares :)

Hi Yogi bear, yes most of it has been bought for specific ongoing projects which I am yet to finish!
Badboy - I've got some rough drawings so I'll tidy them up and share them for anyone interested.

That is very cool, but be careful, as we get older the tendency to begin more and more woodworking projects could overtake your hobby car time. Also, I am now waiting for the Rube Goldberg device that is hand cranked and grabs the can of paint and begins spraying your body all while you sip your tea.
