Bullhead TXT-1 monster hybrid!!
It took a while to put this one together - I've been gradually collecting parts for a couple of years. I nearly sold the gearbox at one point but I'm glad I didn't. Then the 2016 Winter Build-off came along and it proved to be the right encouragement to finally get this built! :D
Spec - TXT-1 chassis with hop-up ‘lightweight’ frames. Boomerang shocks mounted upright (no cantilevers). E-Revo driveshafts, torque tuned motors with steel pinions. Home-made behind-the-axle front servo mount, rear lock-out and links.
The body has been extended by approx. 50mm (cut the rear off, extended the bed then re-attached original tail.) Removed the original ‘hump’ behind the cab, centre of bed lifts off for battery access. 22 LEDs fitted – 12 are permanently on, the others switch on/off via Ch3 switch.
The flames are all paint – I scanned the original decals to make templates for masking. Details – rear grab bar and 5th wheel from a 1/14 truck, 2x SRB aerials and of course a bunch of Wild Willy NOS bottles!
