description  This model was bought 2 years ago with full radio gear but no battery. The body was in a poor state with many parts missing. I firstly stripped the chassis, straightened all the aluminium chassis plates, as these were twisted and bent. All the steel parts were replated. A new battery was found and all the radio gear was installed and tested. The Body had a large crack from the rear wheel arch all the way to the tail of the air intake. This was repaired and strengthened from the inside. I managed to get another 936 body which was even worse than the one I had , but it had all the missing parts. These were fitted to the good body. New decals were found which took ages to get as they seem to be very rare. The painting was next this went ok , the decals went on ok. Then i started to wash the body in preparation for the clear coat ,as i always do. To my horror the red colour on the decals started to run. I had to stop and carefully coat the decals with Johnsons Floor Polish using Kleenex tissues to apply the coating ( Johnsons is a clear acrylic liquid which is stable and drys very hard. The clear coat was then sprayed over the whole body and rubbed down and polished to a mirror finish. This one took a very long time to restore, but i think it is worth it.
