| description | **PLEASE READ THIS** for anyone looking at this model displayed in my showroom and wondering if I will sell it? PLEASE DON’T ASK!!! I get numerous requests from TC members wanting to buy cars displayed in my Tamiyaclub showroom, and to be honest I get very annoyed when people ask to buy something that is clearly NOT FOR SALE!! This car is part of MY COLLECTION and as such I want to KEEP IT!! So please don’t Email on the off chance that I might sell it to you, if I want to sell any of my cars I will put them up for sale in my TRADE ROOM, so look there to see what cars I am prepared to sell otherwise don’t bother asking cos the only answer you will get is NO!!! thanks for reading this disclaimer. Regards wldnas. __________________________________________________________________________________________________
Now I thought that I’d got all the Marui cars I could ever want… Not so? For some time now I’ve been toying with the idea of replacing my cosmetically restored Galaxy-RS with the other more rarer version of the Original Galaxy model? Quite why Marui made two different version of the same car is beyond me? But as the original Galaxy is the rarer kit of the two? Going by my usual need to go for the rarer model, I just had to get one so I’d been looking out on Ebay for one for quite a while, there was a whole string of them came up the back end of last year but I was committed to other deals and could not afford them at the time, but when this car came along just recently I was in a better situation to buy it for the $300 USD Buy-it-Now asking price
The differences between the two kits are very small… but mainly they go like this… The Original Galaxy has a RED coloured cage body, it also comes with Silver wheels and is fitted with a Fancy semi modified Marui 480 RS motor, the Galaxy-RS has a BLUE cage body, White wheels and a standard RS-540S motor? Quite why the RS version is the more basic of the two cars is beyond me? You would have thought that the Red car with the Hop-up motor would be the RS version but that not the case, anyway as the Red car is the rare one I just had to get one and as there is only room enough in my collection for ONE Galaxy? That meant that the Galaxy-RS has got to go :S
I Think I will keep this kit as a MIB because I already know what these cars look like built and a have the Hunter as a runner and that has the same type of chassis as the Galaxy so a MIB it will stay for the foreseeable future, but while I had the chance I’ve taken a few pics of both my Galaxy kits together while I have them both
