description  OK - to be fair , the car does have some cool features, and some aspects are well designed and thought out.....but WHO DESIGNED the body and layout!!! jeeeesh........ After you get over the looks of the car, well , you cant....... Having built this car form kit form for my articles in R/C Car I can honestly say that the kit itself is pretty straight forward to assemble. Some of the plastic are a little quesionable - but really for a toy manufacturer having a go at a hobby grade car it is not to bad. Nichimo could not be compared to Tamiya or even Marui as far as quality goes, however it is still a car from a period where everyone was having a go and this one is part of the 'quirky' group of manufacturers that were way out there with their designs..............as they say - variety is the spice of life.

As others said ugly cars usually become classics as their design isnt repeated later, would also look nice next to a Saint Dragon

No matter what, they will never make another one, and I for one am glad to see it. Too many vintage RC cars are disappearing due to lack of parts, who cares or what have you. Fine job on the build as usual and a great find!

LOL - yes - I mention this in my article - things like high centre of gravity are not good on a buggy....the motor in the Luminous is actuaaly the highest part of the car other than the top of the body and the wing!! NOT good for handling!

Hey... at least it stands out in a crowd! I know it may look cool, but manufacturers found that this wasn't the best motor placement since, among other disadvantages, it reduced the efficiency of the gearing system and it lacked cooling. In fact, AYK started their off-roads this way and quickly changed their motor/tranny system to a side mounted motor shortly after their 566B was introduced. The nice thing about these Nichimo's though... still tough to find in this condition. Glad to see a pristine one built up. Hmm... after looking at it for a few minutes while writing this... I dunno... it kinda grows on you! LOL!
