description  I love CRX's and this came up on eBay a few months ago, but I couldn't bring myself to buy it at the price the seller was offering it, but then last week it came up again in a one day auction at 15 quid less, so I bit the bullet!

It's actually quite a nice little chassis. It's front wheel drive with the pinion driving the axle directly through a combined spur/diff, and the motor is mounted in the front. There a four small oil dampers with springs fitted to four idependent wishbones. The rear wheels can also be adjusted with two tie rods to change the oversteer/understeer characteristics.

The body is quite nice too - not quite up to Tamiya standards, but fairly realistic with a rear spoiler, door mirrors and front/rear wipers. The front lights can also be modified to take LEDs. Nicely painted, but not box art.

Currently has a pretty knackered looking Kyosho MSC, which I think I'll remove and replace with a small ESC. Looking at the manual, the battery is secured with cable ties which I guess means you'd have to charge the battery without removing it from the car - I'll try using some elastic bands instead. The steering servo is also simply stuck to the top deck with a double sided pad - I might try using proper mounts.

As an added bonus, it looks like Time Tunnel Models will order nearly all the parts, so I should be able to run it without worrying about breaking anything.

I'll add some more photos of the chassis once I've given it a bit of a clean...

Oh, and I'm also going to look out for it's sister car, the Peugeot 205 turbo 16...

More CRX's:

MANUAL: Yes

Kyosho used releasable tiewraps to keep the battery in place in a lot of their cars, such as the Optima and Ultima. Wouldn't be surprised if that's what you need for this one. I got some off eBay - work great, try item number 8042439396
