model  58065:  Clod Buster    [ click here for more Clod Busters ]
status  Runner
date entered  29/03/2006 15:48:39
description  Here's some better pics of the crawler

built with loads of help from Twinset and a few others inc hillman666 & cossak

its got

Cobra clod chassis and plates for the ends of the axel tubes from alu-cutter, inet wheel wideners, shocks and upper 4 link mounts, Rc4wd lower shock mounts, home made rods with ballends from Twinset, two 17x2 venom fireball motors and ripmax no-limit xtra esc and hpi 4 channel 27mhz reciver (only got a 3 channel transmitter at the moment), so i used a servo reverser on the rear servo.

the body mounts and upper shock mounts i made from some std tamiya parts etc as i was'nt going to pay a fortune for silly little bits

it went out on its first run today loads of fun (but ive got to get some high torqe servo's as i stripped one of them) but i like it

the body does need respraying as the paint on it flakes off like mad but its a nice body bought from a t/c member and ive still got to fit the associated battery cups and lock the rear diff

i am going to replace the motors with 2 55turn lathe motors when i get the chance

have a look

comments welcomed

ive now fitted the assosiated battery cups from hillman666 and fitted 2 towerpro high torque metal geared servo's

That's not even a car! If it would have six wheels, one might fear a spider is crawling along! But what I would like to know: is it fun to drive???
