The lexan body turned white on me when I was stripping the paint in brake fluid, so I figured all hopes where out... but after some thinking I decided to paint on the outside and see how it worked out. Got a tip from my LHS to paint with Lexan paint first, then PS clear coat on top of that, and If I can say so, it worked out quite nice 
There are not many new parts on the car, as they are hard to get, and really not needed in this case. The object I started with was quite good.
Again it has been a blast restoring this Tamiya, and I can't wait to get started on my Ascona

Fantastic resto, looks like new!
fantastic rebuild, just doing one myself,wont be as good as this but bringing back great old memories for me. Any clues on how to mount the steering servo strongly, the tape never worked well on the original design for me and now needs a stronger mount to ensure all servo power is transmitted fully. Thought about longer bolts through from the bulk head , any ideas ?
