| description | Had a weak moment and put in a bid for this, a nice sort of original Brat in red. Thought to myself, never going to do one red, this one is already done and it looks sort of great. As always it has its good and bad bits. Bad points are that it was originally a Frog and has a knackered diff and the paint that looked glossy in the photos was actually a bit dull. Good points are the wheels are all new and the shell is all original Brat not Mud Blaster. So l started with a polish (polished some areas down to the white plastic) and sorted out the details like the grill and side markings as they were not to my taste. Rather happy now but one day l will restore it to a high shine red. But not just yet. This is number 12 in the collection and l still have numbers 10 and 11 to finish.

Sweet and according to the link, Ronald Reagan had a red one!!! I must say, I will love the re re even though this car hasn't been high on my want list before. I guess it took building a MB and Blackfoot to enjoy the chassis. I KNOW TONS OF US will enjoy the fact we can get tires now, too bad those wheels will be SNOW WHITE and not the 'creamy' off white of the original. I guess after some dirt and mud they will look better.LOL

It's coming with 2 shells according to Tamiya - a lexan for running and a hard plastic one for the shelf. Tamiya are really starting to understand the buyers of re-re's!!
Beautiful Stu. Lovely photos as well. Just sold my Frog I was planning to convert as a result of the re-re. Will definitely be buying 2 of them!
Lets hope it doesn't come with a lexan shell!!! The parma one was rubbish. The solid plastic one is much better. And anyway you can fit a Brat to the XC. l have done it and so too have many other TC'ers

Yes, sorry about buying them all up it's just that l can;t get enough of them and l want to save them all. With regard to the ?? re-re l will be in heaven!!!! As for prices l would suspect it to be near the re-re Frogs price so it would be value for money.

This has always been about the coolest looking Tamiya model. No matter how often I see one I always want one. Just hope the rere is a sensible price
